We would like to draw your attention to the resurfacing work which will be taking place at two locations on the M6 this summer.  The work will be done from mid-June to December 2006 at Junction 8 (Northbound – M5 Interchange) and at Junction 5-6 Southbound (near Spaghetti Junction).  With this in mind, please allow extra time to get to Villa Park.  For further information on the works and planning your journey, please consult the Highways Agency on 08457 50 40 30 or online at www.highways.gov.uk or AA Roadwatch (www.the aa.com or call 2222 from your mobile – check one hour before you expect to arrive for the very latest information on Tel 2222 for AA Road Watch on your mobile).
  
Travelling by car:
Coming from the North
Keep to the left hand side following signs to A38/Lichfield NOT City Centre.

Coming From The South
Leave M6 at Junction 5, signposted Castle Bromwich.  Follow the diversion signs to Aston Villa.

From South and North
You will come down to an island turn right at island. (4th exit = A5127 City Centre) Following the A5127 towards City Centre keeping in the right hand lane towards the traffic lights. Turn to the right by the large pub ahead onto Aston Hall Road. On the bend, turn left under the small bridge (still Aston Hall Road). The AVFC Sports Leisure Centre will be on your right hand side. Follow the road around and turn right at the traffic lights onto Witton Lane. Aston Villa will be directly in front of you.

From Birmingham City Centre
By the fire station go under Lancaster Circus onto A38. Via left following Gravely Hill NOT TOWARDS A38M. At roundabout head towards ‘Aston Waterlinks’ Via flyover. Pass straight over 3 roundabouts following Gravelly Hill signs. Turn left at next set of traffic lights onto church road following signs to Witton. Turn left when you hit Queens Road (still following signs to Witton) joining Witton Lane. Villa Park will be ahead of you.

Please park in the Holte End Car Park.  To access this site please make your way along Trinity Road where it will be signposted Holte Suite Entrance (please see site map attached).  Parking is free.

Travelling by train  - The local British Rail Station is Witton. The nearest mainline station is Birmingham New Street. You can connect from Birmingham New Street to Witton or alternatively a taxi from central Birmingham will cost approx £6.00.
